African Queen - Beaulieu-sur-Mer

Perched on a rooftop with views over the bay of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, this terrace opens a new chapter for the African Queen, a historic address on the Riviera.

The goal: to create a true destination, faithful to the spirit of the place. Greenery structures the space, with palms, banana trees, and other Mediterranean plants lining a terracotta tiled wall punctuated with illuminated niches.
The seating — director's chairs in gingham, upholstered banquettes — along with terracotta jars and pottery, come together in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. At the bar, sculpted wood, cane, and veined marble form a refined backdrop, set against ceramics and black-and-white photography.

The result: a sun-drenched terrace, where timeless refinement meets Mediterranean living.
